I will start with the negative and move over to the positive:
I think instead of attack on the mouse, it would have been better to have it on a key and let the character Attack in the direction he is looking currently. The controls feel a bit sluggish, but thats okay because the platforming doesnt has to be that precise. The Game also has a lot of bugs sadly, which is normal for a GameJam Game, but in this case some stopped me from reaching the end (If you have more than 8 shells, you cant trade them in anymore and you have to talk with him before as well. I sadly needed to finish the game 3 times because of this). I also think the special item was not used that well. You are required to collect gears, but there is no reason for it to be gears, it could have been any other item as well.
Its very cool that you integrated actual characters to talk with. This game has a lot of charm, more than you would expect from a Game Jam. Sadly the timer forces you to rush and makes it hard to take time for the texts, maybe pausing the timer while talking would have helped a bit. The small sidequests and rooms add on to the charm of the game as well. Combining the time with your health was a really cool idea as well. Some other games in the jam (mine included) lean too much into other features to kill you, causing the time to feel unimportant. This however solves the problem and integrates the theme time into the game sucessfully.
That is entirely up to you, but since we are using WASD to move, it would be nice to have the attack be a button on the other side of the keyboard like J or O.
I found one wheel on the right and one in the colloseum. not sure if the gears guy gave me anything, I had like 9 crawler remains and he jsut kept telling me if I am interested in gears.
well, I jsut tried again. and firs quick talked through his dialog, got the shells. and when returning, he jsut told me that one line "Can I interestyou in some high quality gear" pr something. on the right side, below the gears, I see 9 green slimes (likely those shells you mean) so I should have enough.(thats after fighting the colloseum)
Only other thing I could think of is finishing his dialogue all the way through, but I probably should have just cut that section out, due to it being a buggy mess. Thanks for sticking with it through the errors though.

Can you possibly upload a Windows version for download?

The controls are really bad, the attack button should have not been "click".
The art was good.
The platfoming really wonky, if you stand at the very edge of the platform, you can't jump
That said, it was made in 4 days, so it's ok ig.
Just for future reference, what would you recommend the attack button be?

where's the damned third gear?
and how many critters do I need to kill before the GEARS guy on the left helps me with anything?
You need to beat the colluseum to get the third gear, and the gears guy will give you a gear after you have 8 shells
I found one wheel on the right and one in the colloseum.

will try again later.
oh no. That’s a minor glitch where you had to talk to him before getting the shells. Sorry that came up, I can try to fix it when I have the time.

or am i looking in the wrong place?
